Connection is intricate to humanity and vital to one’s faith. We hope to connect and grow deeper as we journey together in God’s grace. Tree City Church has several different types of small groups where one can connect; intergenerational, gender specific, Bible studies, affinity or peer related, mentoring and more. These are facilitated and hosted by people from within our church community.
Robert Mulholland defines discipleship as, “the act of being formed in the image of Christ.” We agree and believe that we are all in the art of becoming. Therefore, we seek to foster intentional spaces where we can become more like Jesus, while growing from deep to deeper in faith, developing good friendships, asking honest questions and discovering more about who we are as the family of God.
Ultimately, our desire is that no one walk alone because we believe that we truly need each other especially as we navigate the mysterious journey of faith.
All are welcome and encouraged to learn more about our small groups and hopefully become a part of one!

Homegrown (For those involved in Homeschooling) It’s a time for Homeschool moms to connect, encourage and fellowship while their kids of all ages play. The kids play football and basketball, as well as other sports and play in the play zone or park equipment. We meet the 2nd Friday of each month from 1:00-4:00. The location changes with the weather…sometimes at the church (using the gym and play zone) and sometimes at the park. Anyone who is interested can contact Carolyn Compher at email@example.com. We send out an email to let everyone in the group know where we’ll be meeting each time.

They also are actively involved with younger generations within the church like helping with concessions at our Upward Sports events, helping in the nursery and leading children's small groups on Sunday mornings. We would love to see you become a part of it!
A special ministry dedicated to adults
who are 60 years of age and older.
The hope of this ministry is to help provide a space of exploration in community and in Jesus Christ. The purpose is to help both the mentor and the mentee live and grow in Jesus and in relationship with one another,. We truly do need each other! This is intended to be a relationship marked by vulnerability and trust. We pray that both the mentor and mentee offer their authentic selves in trust be both open and receptive. This sort of relationship is a gift and therefore needs to be received and opened with sensitivity, and dignity and respect of the other.
We believe that all are created in the image of God and therefore, all persons deserve not only dignity and respect, but care. Therefore, we ask that both the mentor and mentee take care in creating a relationship rooted in hospitality. Simply, opening up space for the other and in this particular space, one that is safe and full of grace and love.
We ask that there be a commitment to either 6 or 10 months, with the opportunity at the end of the covenanted time commitment, to extend the relationship if desirable.
Our mentors will be assigned by gender, your particular needs and/or goals and are trained to be safe people who will listen and ask questions designed to help you grow spiritually.
Mentors receive training, coaching, and resources from the Pastoral leadership
Our Mentorship relationships are designed to fill a gap between professional and/or pastoral counseling and small group accountability groups. In other words, this is not professional counseling or even pastoral counseling and our mentors are not trained in crisis counseling. However, we do have a certified Counseling Center at our church.
Please complete the appropriate Mentorship application form (Mentor, Mentee).

Through Upward Sports, a youth sports program designed specifically for Kindergarten through 6th grade boys and girls, we offer basketball, soccer, flag football and cheerleading in a family-friendly environment.
Our leagues give families all the benefits of participating in team sports while protecting them from hectic travel schedules and the win-at-all costs mentality that burns out young athletes. With just one practice and a one-hour game each week, our leagues conveniently fit into busy family schedules.
