Kids are an important part of our church family and they belong here!

Every week, kids in our ministry are a part of safe, age-appropriate environments where they experience the love of God and have fun along the way!

We would love for you and your family to visit Tree City Church Kids this Sunday or Wednesday!

WHAT TO EXPECT

From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice a lot of friendly faces eager to show you the way.

  1. When you get into the building, your first stop is our Kid Check-In area in our first-floor lobby. We want to serve you and your family well, so we’ll take some time to get to know you and your kids. We’ll ask about allergies, make sure we learn names, and gather some contact information.

  2. Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. This sticker is also what you’ll use to pick-up your child after the gathering. Safety is a priority for us, and we want you to feel completely comfortable letting your children participate.

Wednesdays

6:30-8:00pm

Pre K - Grade 4

On Wednesdays, our kids experience a super fun night rooted in Jesus. Each group is specifically geared toward their developmental stage so that the Word of God can be received throughout all ages in every class.

Grades 5-6

On Wednesdays, we prioritize circles over rows. What that looks like is we are constantly in our small groups throughout the night. We value the power of relationships. We also realize that life is better together. Being in smaller groups helps us to know God more, be encouraged, and it inspires us to share hope with others.

Sundays

9:30am & 11am

Birth - Grade 6

On Sunday mornings, your child will learn through station rotations that include singing, a biblical lesson, hands on activities, and a small group to have fun conversations about all they are learning. We desire to come alongside you to help empower and equip you to become the main faith influencer for your child. We strive to work together to empower every child in becoming a lifelong disciple of Jesus.

Take a look below for more about our emphasis in each age area.

Our Nursery and Toddler classrooms are on the first floor, PreK-Grade 4, and Grades 5-6 meet on the second floor.

Here’s a little more info about Tree City Church Kids

Tree City Church Kids is a place where kids experience the radical love of God at an age appropriate level. Our goal is to come alongside parents to help them become the main faith influencer in their child’s life. We strive to work together to empower every child in becoming a lifelong disciple of Jesus. Tree City Church Kids values the importance of belonging. We believe every baby, child, and young person plays an important role within the Tree City Church Family. Here’s how we see that happening at every stage of our ministry:

Babies & Toddlers (6 Weeks - 3 Years)

This a place where every child is loved, cared for, and taught about Jesus. We believe through the way we care for our kids from the earliest age, we are giving them their first impression of God. Each room is designed to engage kids’ hearts at their age or developmental level to make friends, laugh, learn, and play. We want our early childhood kids to know these Basic Truths: God made me and God loves me. Our early childhood area is located on the first floor.

PreK - Kindergarten

We want all children to receive an incredible first impression of God and this is accomplished through the way we point our kids to Jesus. Each service includes games, large group interactive worship, creative Bible stories, play time, snack time and more. Before they leave Kindergarten, we want kids to know three Basic Truths: God made me, God loves me, and I belong at Tree City Church. Our Pre K and Kindergarten area is located on the second floor.

Elementary (Grades 1 - 4)

Our desire is to make sure our three Basic Truths stick: I belong in the family of God, I am a child of God, and God invites me to participate in pointing my friends to Jesus. After an engaging large group experience, our elementary kids attend small groups. We want them to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, learn how to talk to Him through prayer, and to build lasting friendships. Our elementary age area is located on the second floor.

5th & 6th Grade

Three Basic Truths we want our 5th and 6th graders to know: I am marked by grace and my identity is a child of God, I am discovering the gifts God has given me to help further God’s kingdom, and I am using my gifts to serve others. We accomplish these Truths through helping our young people apply Scripture to their daily living as they continue the process of differentiating and making their faith their own. Our 5th & 6th Graders meet on the second floor.

The Ride Home

We encourage parents to keep the conversation going on the car ride home. Ask your child these two questions:

  • Did you have fun?

  • What did you learn?

Our goal is to have a positive answer to both of those questions each week.

The Details

Volunteer Screening & Training

All adult and youth volunteers are carefully selected and trained by church staff to maintain the highest integrity of our program. In addition, all adult volunteers are background checked both nationally and locally and have gone through Protect My Ministry (a safety system to protect children and those who serve them). We also have a no 1-on-1 policy. This means that at no time should a volunteer or staff be left alone with a child.

Drop Off & Pick Up

Classrooms open 20 minutes prior to worship service/program times. Pick-up will begin immediately after the worship service/program ends. At Check-In, your kid will be assigned a randomized code printed on their name tag and your claim ticket. Present the claim ticket when you pick up your kid from their classroom. Kids will not be released if the code does not match.

Safety Team

In addition to our highly trained and loving volunteers, we have an additional Safety Team available to our Kids Ministry area and facility, as well as trained medical professionals, to maintain a fun and safe environment for all kids and participants.
