The Children’s Academy is a highly academic, faith-based, non-profit Preschool and Kindergarten located at Tree City Church. The school operates Monday thru Friday with varying schedules from 9:00am to 12:45pm with one extended day class option until 3:30pm. The Children’s Academy philosophy is designed to develop the whole child, where each individual has the opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially.
The Children’s Academy is looking to add a few awesome Head and Assistant Teachers, and a few amazing Substitute Teachers to their staff for the 2022-2023 school year. Paid licensing and training is offered as well as paid holidays and staff tuition benefits.
Qualifications (based on position):
High School Diploma or GED
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field
Masters Degree in Education or related field
Ability to pass background checks and complete the licensing requirements to obtain a Boise City Childcare License
Upon hiring, obtain certification in Pediatric CPR & First Aid
Maintain License requirements and continuing education credits yearly
A belief and love for Jesus required to teach in our Faith-Based Program
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ability to plan and implement the classroom curriculum in accordance with the school’s philosophy and methods
Have a friendly, calm demeanor and ability to work confidently with students, parents, and co-workers
Have a strong work ethic and excellent attendance record
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment
Strong communication skills
Ability to document and effectively communicate through email and class reminder apps
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Attend all meetings and trainings
