“I WILL TAKE MY POST; I WILL POSITION MYSELF ON THE FORTRESS. I WILL KEEP WATCH TO SEE WHAT THE LORD SAYS TO ME AND HOW HE WILL RESPOND TO MY COMPLAINT. THEN THE LORD ANSWERED ME AND SAID, ‘WRITE A VISION, AND MAKE IT PLAIN UPON A TABLET SO THAT A RUNNER CAN READ IT. THERE IS STILL A VISION FOR THE APPOINTED TIME; IT TESTIFIES TO THE END; IT DOES NOT DECEIVE. IF IT DELAYS, WAIT FOR IT; FOR IT IS SURELY COMING; IT WILL NOT BE LATE.’” -HABAKKUK 2:1-3

For 116 years, Tree City Church has been on a mission of pointing people to Jesus and inspiring them to become a part of that mission.
We are intentionally entering into a season of waiting on the Lord and putting our hearts and minds together through prayer and collaboration to see clearly the vision God has given Tree City Church.
As we look out 20+ years, we invite you to participate with us in each of the following ways as we work together to fulfill the mission of Jesus through Tree City Church:
-Pray (see below).
-Share your input with us.
-Engage in conversations throughout the year.
You can begin participating now by listening for opportunities to gather in smaller groups for conversations that will help us begin to gain clear vision for our future as we continue to point people to Jesus and inspire them to become a part of that mission!

“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart; don’t lean on your own intelligence. Acknowledge Him in all your paths, and he will keep your ways straight.” -Proverbs 3:5-6
Beginning on March 6, our church entered into a 40 day period of prayer and fasting as we began to “keep watch,” lean on God and prayerfully seek to discover clarity about how God is leading us to fulfill the mission He has given us.
Our mission begins with Jesus, and as we walked together through these 40 days, we will concluded this specific emphasis on Easter Sunday as we celebrated together the Resurrection of Jesus - the hope and the reason we point people to Jesus!
While these 40 days have now passed, our emphasis to pray hard has not. Keep praying, keep waiting on the Lord, and continue to engage with us as we begin to write down the vision God has given us as a church!
